VillageMD and Walgreens hired Permit Advisors, a Milrose Consultants company, to support an unprecedented large-scale rollout designed to deliver an integrated store model and provide first-rate healthcare to patients and customers. The expanded rollout included 500-700 renovated stores in more than 30 U.S. markets over 5 years and involved the redesign of existing Walgreens spaces to provide space for these exciting new services. The scale of the project provided a formidable challenge, requiring application submissions on 15 to 20 projects per month. The project management team took time to review the project scope in detail, outline challenges, assess deadlines, file permit packages, actively communicate with clients and stakeholders, and perform quality control to ensure permits were obtained ahead of construction start dates for each project in the pipeline. By obtaining the required permits ahead of schedule whenever possible, Milrose always met the client’s target dates and subsequently saved the client time and money.
