Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Project Wins CBC Team Award

On June 13, 2017, the Connecticut Building Congress awarded the Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits project as the first-place winner of the Small Projects category in the 2017 CBC Project Team & Scholarships Awards competition.

Milrose Consultants, Inc. is proud to have teamed up with Amenta Emma Architects, Turner Construction Company, CBRE and the rest of the Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits project team to create the award-winning 43,563 square-foot office space at 201 Tresser Boulevard in Stamford, Connecticut.

Each year, the Connecticut Building Congress recognizes projects that, “exemplify project team excellence and represent the best practices in teamwork by project owners, architects, engineers, contractors and trades.” The 2017 CBC Project Team Awards judges panel awarded the Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits project team for working closely from conceptual design through project completion and achieving higher quality through this collaboration.

The Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits company markets and distributes wines and spirits from around the world, therefore, they wanted an office space that created the right feel for both executive areas and creative areas without compromising on professionalism and comfort. This created a challenge for the project team to blend beauty, comfort, and creativity into an office space.

Through close collaboration the project team was able to implement a somewhat traditional space for the executive areas, while introducing open ceilings, re-sawn wood paneling, and reclaimed wood feature walls with modern detailing to frame the creative areas for the marketing team area and the tasting room. The completed project resulted in a beautiful office space featuring a floor-to-ceiling glass exterior, highlighted by interior spaces set apart by glass walls which take advantage of the natural light.

Milrose is honored to have been a part of this highly collaborative project team and share in the successes of such an innovative project. To learn more about the project and see photos of the office space, visit www.cbc-ct.org/2017Deutsch and www.amentaemma.com/deutsch
