Milrose helps kids in need through participating in Operation Backpack

As part of Milrose's 30th Anniversary Year of Philanthropy and in the spirit of helping others, Milrose employees helped homeless children throughout New York City by participating in the Volunteers of America-Greater New York’s Operation Backpack program this summer. Through generosity and support, Milrose employees were able to donate 42 backpacks filled with new grade-specific school supplies to children in need.

The Operation Backpack program aims to provide full backpacks to more than 18,000 children living in homeless and domestic violence shelters across New York City. Milrose employees went out and purchased new supplies, filled 42 backpacks, and delivered them to VOA-GNY so the children could arrive at school in September feeling as ready for the first day of school as their housed peers.
