LOCAL LAW 126: PARKING GARAGE INSPECTIONS

The next inspection window (B window) is now open for Manhattan Community Districts 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and all Brooklyn Community Districts. PIPS reports must be filed by December 31, 2025.

• Initial Observations were due August 1st, 2024. This is different than the PIPS Report. If your B or C window parking structure did not file the one-time Initial Observation form, you are subject to penalties and DOB is stepping up enforcement.
• PIPS inspection cycles are every six years with annual observations required to maintain compliance.
• Non-compliance may result in a $2,500 violation.

These regulations are critical to maintaining structural integrity and avoiding penalties.
